Get rid of all of the smog crap, put a nice free flowing exhaust on it, and work the motor over a little. Then you will have a nice driving beast that gets better fuel economy. I bet that a good port and polish job on the heads will free up a lot of hp.

You’re right. But at least a Harley isn’t quite as excessive. Excessive for a bike maybe, but the numbers are smaller.

I suppose it’s all relative. Compared to a plane or ship, this car is relatively meagre and efficient!

They make aftermarket heads for the 500 that outflow any port job you can do on the stockers. Those, an intake, and a cam swap. More than double the power.

I am glad they do! I bet that thing is a torque monster when it can finally breathe! It may have 420+ hp with new heads, but probably over 550 tq if not 600 tq.
